October 1, 1857. A very seldom seen forest green tint adorns this scarce proof from Hartford. Center vignette shows two maidens, sailor at left, and two girls at bottom right. The only proof in this collection that has this color combination. This is an HPN and probably unique. Imprint of Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson. Printed on India Paper (Plate B). No ABNC stamp on back. From the Eastern Collection.
