185_. This is the first in a trio of very attractive proofs from The Exchange Bank at Lockport. These originally came from the 1990 ABN sale in the form of a $1-1-2-3 sheet. This $1 proof has three very ornate counters and the one on the bottom right has a rarely seen "$1". The New York state seal is on the bottom left. At center is a portrait of Benjamin Franklin with two very large "1" overprints on both sides. This Superb Gem proof is listed as SENC and one of only two known. Imprint of Danforth, Wright & Co. Printed on India paper and mounted on card (Plate A). No ABNC stamp on back. From the Eastern Collection.
