The charter for this bank was established in 1864 and the bank continued to operate until 1897. It issued First Charters and a few Brown Backs. There are six notes reported. This could easily be the best note known as it is well centered and with good quality. Light signatures of E.W. Giddings, Vice President and H.O. Smith, Cashier on this note that was previously from the DeGood collection. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
