There are fourteen $500 1918 Cleveland notes currently listed in the Track & Price census and of those serial #D1A is listed as AU and is likely impounded. After that the next best is this problem free PCGS XF 40; it was graded XF when sold in 2002 as well. Recently VF 30s are bringing around $30,000. We sold an AU 55 Chicago at $43,900 two years ago. If you audit all sales of $500 FRNs you will find few offerings and consistently strong results.
