Established in May 1890 and succeeding the American State Bank in 1894, the bank was voluntarily liquidated in April 1894, being succeeded by the National Bank of America, charter #4945. There were only 780 sheets printed and a mere $640 large outstanding in 1910. An extraordinary pair of #1 rarities signed by W.W. Watson, President and F.H. Hageman, Cashier.
