December 1, 1873. Until a few years ago, notes from this 1873 issue were considered Very Rare or Extremely Rare as identified in Hugh Shull's "A Guide Book of Southern States Currency." A quantity of notes from this issue were discovered a few years ago in the South Carolina archives. This note has a punch through cross cancel and a little aging/handling on the right side.
