An otherwise mundane example of a circulated Fractional piece that suddenly brings your eyes to life as you realize that it is a slate back. The back design is completely devoid of any purple color and is just a solid black type of color, hence the name "slate back." These usually command multiples of what a typical example would bring in that grade.
