Colonial Currency > Massachusetts
MA-160 2 Shillings 6 Pence August 18, 1775
Grade:
PCGS Apparent VG 8
The historical vignette of a Minuteman carrying a sword in hand makes this one of the most desirable of Colonial Currency issues. PCGS does note that the center split has been repaired and sewn together. Very few of these notes survive without any problems, ranging from minor to major and even falling apart. In our PCDA sale we sold an example of this same issue and denomination for $763.75 in a PMG VG 8 Net holder, and that note was much uglier than this one.
