Challenging Low Denomination Sword in Hand Note
Colonial Currency > Massachusetts
MA-177 2 Shillings 8 Pence December 7, 1775
Grade:
PCGS Apparent Fine 12
A far better low denomination sword in hand note that displays one of the iconic vignettes in all of Colonial era currency. PCGS notes the center split has been sewn together and there are edge splits and tears. The note itself is bright, retains a legible signature and displays a bold Minuteman on the back. All in all, a four-figure note worthy of any advanced collection or just anyone with an appreciation of the history of our fledgling nation.
