We start the auction off with a bang!! This beauty and the next note represent the highly unusual opportunity of obtaining the first and last notes printed in the same block. They are separated by 999999998 notes. These notes were bought individually by Mel several years apart and it was a fortuitous event that this pair could be put together. Locating any serial #00000001 in the 1928 $1 Silver Certificate series is mighty tough. But pairing the #1 note with the same block letter #99999999 is nigh impossible. We expect spirited bidding on this pair.
