Don't under-estimate just how difficult it is to find the first and last note from the same block. There was no reason to keep them together, and for many decades these notes resided in separate collections. Only in the $1 1934 SC series is there a handful of first and last (serial #00000001 and #99999999), but as you would expect, they have been split up. The $1 1934 Silver Certificates from blocks B-A to F-A are all known in the same block with both the #1 and the #99999999 in private collections. BUT......they have all been split up. In the 1934 series, collectors have kept the rollover pairs together and therefore don't have the matched block letters for the first and last note in the same block. We can't stress enough just how difficult it is to put together a set like these first two notes with the same block letters. $1 1928 SC W99999999A PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated.
