Perhaps the third rarest solid serial number in the Wilmore collection. By some measures, to some collectors, it may be the single most appealing solid serial number in Mel's collection. Several collectors are working on a set of $1 to $100 FRNs all with serial #77777777, but they all lack the $50 denomination. This amazing piece is the only known $50 77777777 (small or big head) we have ever auctioned. It happens to be printed on the 7th district and sits in a Gem CU holder. According to the Collector's Guide to Modern Federal Reserve Notes, by Robert Azpiazu, Jr, we see the number of $50 FRNs printed with serial #77777777 for all districts is as follows: 1963A = 0, 1969 = 0, 1969A = 0, 1969B = 0, 1969C = 0, 1974 = 1, 1981 = 1, 1981A = 0, 1985 = 3, 1988 = 2, 1990 = 4, and 1993 = 6.
