This note likely came from the same individual who worked at the Cleveland Fed in the 1960s and supplied many of the fancy serial numbered notes of that era. It has been immaculately preserved. The James W. "Billy" Key collection did feature a number of $1 FRN 88888888s, most all which have now been scattered to the winds. Very few in Billy's collection were in 66 or better holders. This $1 1963A FRN D88888888A has been graded PMG 66 EPQ Choice Uncirculated. A real prize!
