Far fewer $10 FRNs are printed than $1, $5, and $20 FRNs. The 1990 BEP Production Reports indicate that approximately 3 times as many $20 FRNs and 4 times as many $1 FRNs were printed. Yet we often see $10 notes selling for little premium over the other denominations. We suggest that bidders stretch a bit to obtain this note for that and one other important reason: The BEP will never again print small head $10 notes. This beauty will prove we believe, over time, to be one of the more elusive acquisitions you ever make.
