A bizarre error that started as a sheet fold prior to the first (back) printing which was caught by the press machinery and torn before the back was printed. Somehow the note managed to cling to life and hung on through the remaining printings as the machinery completed the tear. Amazingly, probably through pressure alone, the torn fragment remained with the note until discovered in a pack. A wild error that took quite a jolting ride to survive for a collector to enjoy.
