This is a very tough Orange County bank whose notes are simply absent from the marketplace. Despite liquidation in 1931, the bank issued large notes only, and a mere eight are reported in the Kelly census. The few public appearances from this bank over the past two decades have been Brownbacks, making this bank a tough slot for collectors to fill. This problem-free example walked into an East Coast coin shop recently, and is just the third Plainback note to be seen from this bank.
