IL-775-1000. Circa 1910. Back is black and green. Standard design for college notes of this period. Grand Ridge is about 100 miles southwest of Chicago. All five of the notes in this series came from the same source (the Schingoethe's bought them in 1982). This offering gives the collector a rare chance to buy a $500 and $1,000 for peanuts. There is a light stain on about one-half of the note.
