This is the three-year Interest Bearing note proof with the coupons and dated August 19, 1861. This note is printed on India paper and has nine punch-cancels along the signature line. This beauty is not even pictured in Friedberg. No examples of even a proof have been used recently in any of the large size currency books. A rare opportunity, to say the least. This note was acquired by the consignor in excess of $20,000 at acquisition.
