Similar to NY-1020-1a, but counter-stamped "Payable at the Business College of Bryan, Stratton & Bell, Springfield, IL." Hatch litho. Black on green underprint. Drummer with soldiers on left, train in center and Edwin Stanton on the right. Hand-dated 1867. The back is a fancy design with text in green. The counter-stamp covers some of the center vignette. An interesting usage (two states) for this issue.
