A fabulous Texas note from Rains County and only the fourth large example to surface from that scarce institution. Purchased privately for the Selvage Collection many years ago. Fantastic pen signatures of G.F. Glass, Asst. Cashier and O.C. Rodes, Vice President grace this keepsake. Just two vertical folds and a few pinholes are observed on an otherwise uncirculated note. Probably the finest and certainly the earliest note known on the bank.
