The Smith typed manuscript might be unique as no other copy has been located despite an extensive search of OCLC and other library databases. While the Thomas book is a reprint , no original published version of the State Banks in Chicago dissertation has been located. One insightful portion of Thomas is a compilation of the condition of Chicago banks after the fire of 1871. Two books.
