South Omaha was incorporated as its own separate city in 1886 and, by 1890, had over 8,000 citizens. The population was made up largely of immigrants, making for a culturally diverse environment. The vanity signature of the president, whomever it is, really makes the note. Three out of the four known examples are $5 Brownbacks. H.C. Bostwick is the Cashier.
