This is a very scarce Emporia bank, especially compared to its counterpart, charter #1915. There are 24 large notes reported, and seven are $1 First Charters. This note is so fresh and attractive it is easy to fall in love with. The top margin is smaller than the bottom, but it's completely acceptable. The bank closed its doors in 1920.
