National Bank Notes > Colorado

Carbondale, First NB, 9009
Fr. 600 $5 1902ND
Grade: Fine
A very scarce, pen signed note from this Garfield County bank that is new to the census and is only the fifth large note reported. A Fine brought $5,875 earlier this year. Carbondale was named by John Mankin, one of the founders, for his home town in Pennsylvania. The economy was originally agricultural, providing the food for the miners in nearby Aspen. Before Idaho became known for potatoes, that crop was Carbondale's primary product.
Current Bid: $ 1,620.00

Estimate: ($ 2,700.00 - $ 4,000.00)
