Wow, what a find, and it always happens right after we sell one. The census indicates just two notes reported and now we have a third example from this, the rarest (by far) of the four Longmont banks. In October 2006 we sold the other $100, a not very pleasing VG for $7,475 in active bidding. When resold in Memphis 2008 it realized $2,185 but one collector was gone, and more and more want quality since they know they can't have them all. This is only the fifth $100 Dateback known for the state. The pen signatures, of W.L. McCashin, President and W.C. Coulehan, Assistant Cashier, are outstanding. The closed tear is virtually invisible.
