This is a lovely VF Ace from this Madison County bank southwest of Des Moines. The bank issued mostly $50 and $100 large size and there are only two Aces and two $5 First Charters known. Clear signatures of J.J. Hutchings, President and D.E. Cooper, Cashier. The holder mentions rust that it's very light and very minor. I wish I had a collection of notes this pretty. PMG notes: rust.
