Here is a lovely St. Louis $5 Demand Note that appears very similar in quality to the Diamond Bar note that realized $60,000. This note was only graded Fine by CAA in 2000, but Len likes to grade circ notes conservatively. It has been in the same collection ever since and I expect a very pleasant result from this sale. This is one of only eight examples known graded by PCGS. PCGS notes minor restoration.
