A lovely part of the extensive Newport Collection we are offering. This note appeared in a Hickman-Oakes sale in 1985, Lot 29. The bottom is cut into the design at the right but the grade looks more XF than VF. It bears the purple stamped signatures of W.T. Parrish and W.A. Billingsley. John correctly called this a handsome note. One of 36 listed in the census.
