This note, having been saved for a century and a half, thinking it was the earliest $5 Legal Tender known, but it's not. This is a serial #1 with the series on the face but no number making the note from the beginning of those printed with SERIES on the face. As far as I know, the notes without the series are indeed the first 100,000. This lot includes a frame and box that is has been stored in for generations, as well as two related paper clippings - if we don't lose them!
