The Bohlman work was not included in the Sullivan 1 Collection. The Bohlman work was assembled from research completed by his father following his death. The Merritt work is one of the earliest state bank histories published in the United States which mainly covers the Miners Bank of Dubuque, the only chartered bank in Iowa from 1836 to the early 1850s. Two books.
