This note carries serial #1 and it's dated May 5, 1862. It was printed by Hoyer & Ludwig of Richmond and it carries a Montgomery back stamp for interest paid 1863, 1864 and 1865. We know of only very few serial #1 Confederate notes and they are highly desirable. This example has a tiny edge split on the right end.
