Dated 9/21/29. This beautiful pack was acquired through Graeme Ton, Jr. in October 1980. The letter (enclosed) is shown where he discussed the 'error', or lack of a plate number on 24 of these bills. He suggests the error either occurred when the master plate was used in error or the engraver inadvertently left it off. These notes are completely fresh and lovely with centering that is tight near the top of the pack but gets much better at 15 notes in. A tough pack to evaluate. These notes catalog at $325 in Gem and $200 in Choice.
