This Union County community began issuing notes during the First Charter period and continued throughout the issuing period. This is the only $5 Original known, and the only other First Charter is a lower grade $10. This note has amazing quality but a couple of restorations on the creases and a corner issue. Excellent pen signatures of A.C. Kellogg, Vice President and J.J. Fairbanks, Assistant Cashier. This note previously came from Curt Iverson around 1978.
