This is a wonderful example of the $500 FRN from the Chicago district. There are 39 serial numbers recorded and this note is tied for the third finest reported. Nearly three years ago a PCGS 58 realized $51,850 in a much weaker market. In fact, no AU $500 has brought much under $50,000 since before 2007. I expect this example will show the strength of the current market.
