October 1, 1863. Genuine notes and counterfeits of this denomination on the Agawam Bank are listed as SENC, or "Surviving Example Not Confirmed." The faces do not look quite right on this example, so we are not sure if it is counterfeit or real. A similar note was offered more than two years ago, in lesser condition, and sold for $56. You be the judge. There is a half inch tear at the bottom center and a single mounting remnant on the back. Haxby MA-1165 G4 or C4.
