Georgetown $5 The Bank of Georgetown

October 1, 1860. This bank, which opened in 1837, failed by the end of the Civil War. Vignettes include "Ceres" looking out from a large "V", and portraits of President Franklin Pierce and a young girl. There is an orange overall tint and a white "FIVE" protector.
