If you collect Legal Tender varieties then this serial number, which is #14-B No Series, is the earliest known $5 Legal Tender. The Track & Price census shows 23 serial numbers recorded but I found most of the known examples of this No Series variety in the Davenport bank hoard of $5 1862 and 1863s. I did find five No Series notes and all were low grade. This is the best I know about and I discount the higher grades listed as incorrectly cataloged.
