Cincinnati The Cincinnati & Whitewater Canal Co. $2
Grade:
VG
The Cincinnati & Whitewater Canal Co. was chartered in 1837 to build a canal from Hagerstown, IN to the Ohio River. The canal was 76 miles long and used tunnels and aqueducts to complete its course. Part of the canal ran through William Henry Harrison's North Bend farm. Harrison later became the ninth President of the United States. When he died in 1841, he was buried on a hill just above the North Bend entrance to the tunnel. This note has nice paper body but has a couple of stains in the bottom center.
