Charleston $10 Farmers and Exchange Bank

December 1853. The Farmers & Exchange Bank was chartered on Dec. 16, 1852 and was destroyed by Sherman's Union troops in 1865. This note has great margins and a wonderful sailing ship vignette. There are a couple of tiny edge tears along the top margin. "MAY" is stamped in red ink on the right. Haxby Sc-15 G4a.
