January 1, 1852. "Cochituate" is an Indian word for "clear rushing water," which was abundant in this area. This note is from a short-lived Boston bank that operated from 1849 to 1854. This $3 shows has nice vignettes and a bold protector. Haxby MA-130 G6a.
