New York 10, & 50 c Scott's Nine Hundred U.S. cavalry Two Notes

The issuing sutler, J.R. Bostwick, is portrayed on this note. Sutlers followed military units, supplying their needs for a wide variety of items not supplied by the military. This unit was later known as the 11th N.Y. Cavalry Regiment. the 10 cent note has some paper pulls on the back while the 50 cent note has some mounting remnant.
