$1/20 Labor Exchange, Branch No. 42, Idaho Falls
Grade: Fine
The town of Idaho Falls choose this name in 1891, only eight years after the Mormons began settling in the area. In 1895, the largest irrigation canal in the world began diverting water, thus creating farmland from the desert. No doubt these notes are relative to the history of the irrigation canal and the Mormon community to the city in southeast Idaho. This set of labor exchange notes are dated 1895.
