This scarcer Providence bank has an intriguing title and seven notes in the census. There is only one $5 1875 listed, but since Track & Price has no record of its sale, it is possible the data was gleaned from a poor picture. The serial number of this note almost matches as does the plate, so this is probably the same piece. Regardless, it is a highly desirable item. It is the epitome of even circulation, but has a small hole in the center. No notes have been offered in the last 5 years.
