Here is a gorgeous $20 Rainbow from 1869 that came from a Dean Oakes fixed price list in 1986 where it was priced at $5,000. Today the market has changed with Gem 65 bid at $37,000. A PCGS '67' brought $123,375 in January and a PCGS 65 PPQ realized $47,000 in the same sale. In 2012 a PMG 64 EPQ realized $29,900. I assumed this beauty would grade at least '64' but it's graded '58'. The note is certainly as nice as you will find in this grade.
