This note was part of the Grinnell sale, Lot 3891, described as 'Rare - A Gem' and the buyer in the Grinnell sale offered it at $55, which is what my client's father paid. This is by far the best of the three $10 Brown Backs reported and has amazing pen signatures of E.J. Pfiffner, Vice President and G.E. McDill, Cashier. We sold a VF at $2,530 in 2008.
