CR-28 R4. February 2, 1868. An attractive note with a bold blue "Ten" overprint and nice signatures. A beautiful Civil War Florida Fractional note. This note is signed by John Milton, the fifth governor of the state. Milton, who was a strong advocate for states rights, declared on April 1, 1865 that "Death would be preferable to reunion." He then committed suicide, in his home, by a gunshot wound to the head.
