July 4, 1864. Someone could present a group of this scrip series in an even dollar amount to the cashier of Townsend Bank to redeem. There is a J.C. Tucker that owned a hotel in Brookline during this time period. Two light stains are noted at each end, apparently due to a previous mounting on back.
