April 4, 1862. Notes from the Parish of Tensas are among the rarest of Louisiana Parish issues, almost never available in any grade. This lovely $5 note features vignettes of Indian and maiden at left; farm girl at center; and frigate under full sail at right. Hand signatures of Reeve Lewis, Clerk, and John F. Harper, Parish President. A lovely solid grade without problems.
