Boston Cochituate Bank $5
Grade:
Fine
MA-130 G8b. A note from a prolific Boston issuer. The note has vignettes of two ships and a sailor on the face. This note is much nicer than those usually seen on this bank. This bank was in business from 1949 until April 1854, when a run, due to the failure of one of the officers in the iron manufacturing business, closed the bank. Cochituate is an Indian word for clear rushing water.
