By the time the 1934-C series rolled out, it was late summer in 1947, and there was apparently little need for $50s. The 1934 and 1934-A notes had lasted through to the end of WWII, so the BEP cut way back on production for the later 1934-B, C and D series. That is what makes these later series notes so much tougher. This lovely consecutive pair is deeply embossed and nicely centered. Graded Ch. UNC 64 EPQ and 63 EPQ by PMG. Two piece lot.
